Good Day

Truworths was very fun to work at , Management was all fun , when it comes to work its work . When it comes to fun we had fun. If we go to our board room we would fun activities and prizes would be given out. 

Team members especially the ladies was so beautiful that it motivated me to do good in my work. What l learn here was mostly styles in garments mostly men wear. I learned how there products was develop and how far they came to where they now. My team mates was lovely were happy to come to work , we even called one another to come in earlier and play games like fuseball competitions.
 
The hardest part of the job was the fraudulent part , people attempting fraud whilst in the store , and you as an agent had to try and keep the customer there and call police to capture the fraudster.

The fun part was meeting or seeing the top models that will be modelling for truworths. Seeing them makes me feel proud and awesome ,especially when people from outside see where all the beautiful women is going to. When truworths have a function it is vast and all over the region comes and meets ceo.

I love my job and don't generally have issues with any Management
in fact I could talk to them about anything they are very approachable
My co-workers I also get along with quite well, there's always that one or two who generally are a bit on the rotten side but fortunately those apples get washed daily so they don't really affect the rest of the bunch, we say our say to each other and that's that it ends there
The hardest part of my job is when we've approved samples and the sample comes in totally different to what was passed makes life very frustrating but nonetheless challenging so it's all part of the day's work, I guess
The part I enjoy the most is when I can pin point the exact problem to the suppliers and knowing that we are 100% correct just gives me so much happiness and pure job satisfaction

Employees in the merchandising depts i.e. Buyer/Merchandise assistant/Planner/Sourcing Coordinators are inauthentic.Think Stepford Wives. A depressing environment to work in. 6 hour meetings & you're still expected to work late to complete tasks. They have unrealistic expectations of the job capacity. Management is rigid. The pay is ludicrous for the amount of work you put in. You are treated like you are in school. Promotions take forever and only happen to those that fake smiles even though they feel depressed, work for approximately 10-11 hours a day, and agree with their managers even if they are wrong - if you can maintain this for at least 4-6 years, then there's a possibility that you could be promoted as a senior in your field.

Truworths is a very busy office in south Africa with our employers demanding daily results from every single employee. Ever since i have been employed at truworths i have learned how to work under pressure and also long hours. The management here at truworths are the best and friendly management one can work under. My co-workers at work are very welcoming ones and has lots of respect for each other. The hardest part of truworths is where you are been under pressure from the customers and your boss also standing next to your desk at the same time. The most enjoyable part of my work at truworths is when i achieve a days work done and excellent.

when my manager didn't approve my sick leave 
team work, being responsible, taking care of  the property you using and cleanness. how to manager an account and how to deal with different people and behaviours
management was just management like any other company
co-worker s were the best ever we built friendships of different cultures and religions
when  debtors are fascinated and stress and you calling them to remind about payment and they start swearing at you like no-body's business.
when you explaining an account to a debtor that didn't understand what was happening with the  account or what type of account she has

What is the best part of working at the company?
I worked as a debt collector for 18 months working 8 hours+ because of commission. Come monthend there's nothing to show for it. A place of depression and pressure

The collections department when you do not collect as much as possible

It was very stressful but with wonderful collegues

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Talking as much calls as possible and negotiate arrangements

To receive calls from Truworths account holders that need assistance with general account queries/information e.g. account balance, credit available, total amount due or needs the latest monthly statement faxed or emailed to them, wants to have a debit order set up onto their account or to place an order for an item/garment that was seen in a catalog/magazine & is not available at their nearest store. Integrated into the role in this department are also those listed in the above mentioned departments.

working at truworths head offices has been a great experience because i learn't a lot in my time there and the environment was friendly and welcoming.the company offerd a variety of opportunities to its stuff and also if e member wants to go and further their studies the company grants them that with an option of working part-time and on weekends.And a quarterly increase a year was initiated if performance starndads were met

Starting at Truworths I said I would not be there for long, however I ended up working there for 5 years. I now am sorry I left. 
Truworths takes care of their staff. Some office politics as with any other company, but there it's kept under wraps. 
Their workflow is structured and their performance check allows for personal growth.
Their office dress code is smart casual which allowed me to pay off my clothing accounts. 

Very nice, professional company to work for.
