Greeting customers who enter the shop.
Be involved in stock control and management.
Assisting shoppers to find the goods and products they are looking for.
Being responsible for processing cash and card payments.
Stocking shelves with merchandise.
Answering queries from customers.
Reporting discrepancies and problems to the supervisor.

Responsible for security within the store and being on the look out for shoplifters and fraudulent credit cards etc.
Receiving and storing the delivery of large amounts of stock
Keeping up to date with special promotions and putting up displays

My day starts at 8:30 until 17:30 when am at the office and its not as busy as when am at stores its just the normal staff that needs to be taken care of.e.g communicating with store and suppliers planning the next launch and giving feedback to the relevant people
I have learned a lot on time management as my job rely's on that you must have good planning and timing skills
We have an open door policy with managent so its easy to communicate with them all the time
Co-Workers are like family away from my real family and we have a good relationship
Not being able to be at all stores at the same time when you really need to or when we are launching new range
Seing the end product after every range launch and the stores looking super it really satisfy me

The lack of trust in their employees, causes  for a very stressful/uncomfortable environment. This affects performance and drive to work.  

I feel there is a lack of leadership and respect to all personal. 

There should be a benefit package and better commission base structured, their top line, should be more motivated to building staff, this should be a main goal. This will push on the overall performance as a region and keep staff staying on longer. 

HR should be more involved with staff in-store and travel to see them for, one on one’s every three months. They to should include training  to all staff members and not only managers. Be more hands on…



Over the years I have learn a lot and the job was very rewarding in the begining but as the company grew, the Management lost their way and have not been good to their Staff. Alot of issues are not been dealt with and this led to many resignations. Good company, Bad leadership. Best thing about the company is their Store Personnel. They are passionate in spite of what treatment they are given. Lots of fun working with them. It's sad it turned into a very toxic work environment.

A typical day starts at 8:30 am and ends at 17:00 pm. I have learned to liaise with high end customers who do not mind paying a lot of money for quality clothing and shoes.I work with a team of highly talented people that are extremely sales driven and passionate about customer service.I thoroughly enjoy my job, especially servicing my clients and training and developing my staff.

Normal retail expectations with different people or customers coming to check what's the latest item you have in store

Only having worked in Regional areas and not Head Office showed me how the stores were supported by HQ. This was an effective countrywide support system which must be noted as very impressive and professional. Most difficult part was getting Junior management to work with Middle management. Most enjoyable was being allowed to work with Senior management.

Day to day making sure the tidiness of the store is crucial as it is a representation of the brand and allows us to present the clothing in a more efficient fashion. Selling clothing is the first motive of the day and reaching targets for the store on a monthly base. I've learned to be persistent and calculative therefore networking has been the best part as it involves human interaction.

Most days I spent helping out customers, informing and educating them of the products and the technology the products has.I have learnt alot about the clothing and fashion industry. Management was poor with a high staff turnover rate. A very fun and relaxed place to work at with the most enjoyable part being meeting new people constantly throught the day.

Timberland is a well established international company which has helped me learn a lot about various types of customers I have encountered over the past number of years. Management is a great joy to interact with, and they have extremely strong work ethic. It is a great joy to work with such a company.
