Well a typical day at work would be working extra hours on a not so busy day hence making it ones duty to find something constructive to do since its a workplace after all. Ive learnt that customer satisfaction must always be a priority and product knowledge makes life a lot easier at work.
Sheraton Pretoria hotel as the only 5star hotel in that area, therefore had the highly rated manangement team with proper managerial skills and ethics. as for my co-workers they did all they could to outstand the daily duties with their positive attitudes and an endless determination.
The hardest part of the job was living up to the "Customer is always right" cliche even when you know that wasnt the case. Taking  blame for a misunderstanding and making sure the customer believed how sorry you were with a big smile on your face and an apologitic facial expression was not so hard but rather painful at times.
Last but nt laset the enjoyable part of the job was when we held team building sessions every other weekend helping to create a healthy and enjoyable workplace for everyone.

Working at Sheraton Pretoria Hotel has allowed me to to learn about quality service to clients and giving the client a sense of belonging,my experience was really a good one, management was always so caring and wanted everyone in the department succeed in what they do, they always strive for better and excellent service at all times, the challenges I have faced really groomed me to handle situations in different ways like owning up and taking responsibility to  issues,resolving problems in a professional manner and making sure that the client is satisfied and happy at all times,client service and team work was a very important part as opposed to service culture,to treat clients with respect and dignity no matter how challenging it may be. I enjoyed some good times I have had with Sheraton Pretoria Hotel.

Overall its a good place to work but you do work hard when it's busy. Managers are good give tasks and you know what you have to do, they will help you too. 

It's geat that its part of the Marriott Group, we got a few cheap holidays and we learned a lot about brand standards! we got lots of training, free meals, free gym and pool.  People are friendly and helpful. Lots of families work there.

The hotel is family owned and they are always around, they are nice and friendly too.

It's very social, we have a great Christmas Party and Summer BarbQ and other nights out with the team.

I have made life long frinds in the Sheraton.

First check email(replay and send),check my deadlines continue with my reports and submitting,preparing for my second day.

How to work with people,learning from my mistakes

Managing my contracts and spreadsheet,filling,meetings and minutes,recruitment,appointments for the manager.

Communication via emails,team work

When there is pressure -(recruitment process) but I can still handle it 

Updating contracts,few people that I must recruit,organizing meetings,induction and selection,updating spreadsheet.

the work load varies everyday.  The management is also friendly and the culture is good.  Working at Stores was a great department to work for.  Working at the company was a very beneficial to me as I started working as a general worker and thereafter a minibar attendance and thereafter started working at the Stores department as a Storeman

This is a great company to work for.  I have received great training and opportunities from them while working there and will return tomorrow if I had the opportunity.

Local systems and owners my slightly skew this experience, depending on your property/location.

The salary at this company are no good for any life difficulties the money is never to be build and turn it into something better plus they don't care about the people on the job they mostly only care about the company's needs

I started as a general worker and managed to work my way up to  a machine operator and eventually I was offered a position on our newly formed quality team. The management at the company are very friendly and growth within the company is possible if you are willing to put yourself out there and prove to the company that you are willing to work and learn as much as you can.

I loved working in the Sheraton Hotel. It was a good learning experience and a very welcoming environment. What I loved most about the job is getting to meet and make guests very happy and hear all of their wonderful stories and being able to help them however you can to accommodate them for their stay.

Learnt how to manage the debtors side of things, assistsnt to the credit manager.
Deal with difficult clients on a daily basis
Mantain a book value up to 8 million depending on occupancy of the company
Work with friendly people
