My typical day at work entailed following up the previous day's results - income and expenses - in line with the monthly and yearly targets and forecast. Meeting with my Department Heads to address current / urgent issues and to brainstorm and discuss new ideas in a relaxed forum. Customer visits were planned and executed, allowing the Dealer to regularly interact and address customer needs. I also set the trend in terms of following up on compliance and CRM issues.

I was Top Management in the Dealer (reporting to a National OEM), my co-workers were driven, focused and dedicated to me and the goals set by the organization.

I enjoyed working with Fleet Clientele (Truck / Bus and Industrial Marine), within an environment that was disciplined, yet supported creativity.

I learned much about risk management and interacting with a diverse range of clientele (owner's and operations managers, as well as their staff), as well as the urgency required in a fleet operations / transport business.

I enjoyed the product and working here.

I have learned so much being in logistics and and automotive industry.. Discipline and time keeping is key.. I deal with supplying the right parts in due time in the production line as we are Scania Assembly plant, I have to make sure that all ships sail in the same direction from the off loading, preparation to picking and packing.. All of this have to done in a specified time as we build 14 trucks a day and each truck in 44 minutes, we are time binded and have to deliver at all costs.. Snychronisation has to take place in every 3 hours so every department can meet and discus expectations or lay complaints.. We work from 7 to 5 Monday to Friday or even on Saturdays..

A normal day will include assisting the dealer network with technical queries, meetings between departments and/or Factory (Sweden) for product related issues
I run a couple of field tests as well, obtain data and use it to conclude on the way forward for solutions
Management has changed quite a lot over the past few years with direction changing with every restructuring, however it all kept the company afloat and the brand in the top 3 every year

Fun, exciting but highly competive industry, Not always just about the numbers but how you personally grow and develop. 

Decent amount of red tape and politics, but this is expected of a big company. 

The most enjoyable part of the job was working along side my colleagues, learning from them and with customers. There was a lot of variety in what I did each day, ranging from the monotonous tasks to new projects, finding new markets and industries, increasing customer base, that were challenging and exciting.

Start 07.30 first meeting WIP discussed and all the previous days problems, mistakes etc, then we do whats expected from us as we do know what that is, about once or twice a week the manager will ask how we are progressing, if any issues we will sit down and discuss. we have a very open relationship towards management, all problems are talked about when the occur and they are sorted out immediately, myself and mangement have been with the branch since it was very small and grown with it, so we are quite close.
Ive learned patience, copeing, ive learned to be stronger in the work environment.
Hardest part is trying to get every thing 100% right for audits
We have helpfull staff and management they will stand behind their staff!

What is the best part of working at the company?
Because the company gave me opportunity to do everything from service to repair they gave me confidence and hope and they are still giving me opportunity to grow 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Is the time that you have to deal with the customers and leaving the work outstanding 


What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
We respect each other and we have good communication with our management and we help each our at anytime no race is the best we are all one

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Is when the Forman want a job to be done as the customers is waiting out site

Good company to work for.  Very busy department, deadlines to meet. A typical day would be setting up contracts for customers every day. General office work, ie filing, answering telephone calls and helping customers with queries. I would also stand in at lunchtime for the receptionist which was required by all ladies. Management were good, assisted me where needed.  My co workers were great had a good relationship with people. Lots of concentration needed otherwise mistakes would arise which was the hardest part of the job. The most enjoyable part was working with people of different backgrounds and personalities. I enjoyed my 18 years of working at Scania SA

Never to over worked in the offices, but get your busy days. Have learned to treat every one equal and to always give a helping hand between me and the Technicians. Also learned how to work with overtime and standby on a daily basis. The overall Management is always willing to assist in other branches. Have a ok relationship with my co-workers, but they are not very good with communicating to each other or me. The hardest part for me is to work face to face with my employer. Enjoyable part is that there is never a dull moment and have worked with great people at Head office and my financial controler.

Scania was a good company to work, wish the would make more Female management job oppertunities too. Otherwise all the director i worked for were excellent and Funny they had such a great impact on me I still think of them today.

Staff all worked well on there own as well as in teams, there were great systems put in place for each department to function on their own.

The Hardest part  or busy time for me was month end, the monthly reports that all needed to be in by a specific time and there were many.

What i enjoyed, Mmm funny it was to put those monthly reports together.

Continuous coordination of different tasks.
Vehicle systems,cooperation all the way,sharing of skills.
Management style was different.I worked under different Management teams.
Everybody focussed at the task at hand and there was a great deal of cooperation for achievement of common goals.
Achieving set targets when there was a high volume of work and not enough time to do so.
Doing my work to the best of my ability, achieving set goals and personal work goals that you continuously set for yourself all the time to succed at what's required of you.
