I started working at Rockwell at the age of 19, my first real job in the corporate world, was very exciting and challenging at the same time. I am an extrovert so interaction with different types of people wasn't a hassle for me. At Rockwell we are a big family and most of my peers are always ready to assist or advise regarding a specific job, I am so grateful for all the members that has helped build on my career at Rockwell.  Team buildings and our cakes days and lunches were one of the greatest memories. I love my job, 8 years was a great pleasure waking up to come to work but I now seek a different challenge for advancement in the near future.

Rockwell is a high passed work environment for young and energetic people.  It relies highly on excellent IT and Technological skills.  I would not Recommend Rockwell for Individuals that is highly skilled in Technical skills only.  You have to be a specialist in the holistic automation solution. Rockwell Manufactures and Supports 1000 sands  of their own products.  Being an project Engineer at Rockwell is highly specialized.  Mastering the requirements for Rockwell takes well in advance of two years.

Goal orientated.
Results driven.
Acquired on the job training on PLC's and Variable speed drives.
Management is good but firm.
A relaxed culture is present but it is results driven and measured regularly.
As a Repair Engineer the job output rate is high and difficult to maintain.
Being able to repair and resolve issues in a wide range of disciplines provide job satisfaction.

As part of the acquisition it was a challenging time. I learned a lot from my Manager and would recommend the Company to any future employees.
The Company offers ample on the job training opportunities and support to all employees.
Hardest part of the job was leaving the team (when I resigned to get married), and the most enjoyable part of the job was working with the team - Rockwell South Africa, specifically the SSB group, is a great team.

some Software dev available

Would be better if my dept was better focused, report to USA usually, need to interface with GEC - global engineering in India

The Company is well organized and the work culture is pleasant.

Enjoyed the daily Challenges set out to me, wrt projects. Learned something every day. Was a valuable Experience Managing the Crew, Projects, admin etc.

Learned cooperate working and team working. It was lovely learning something everyday. Got to meet with most biggest clients and it was good experience for me.

Its one of the Companies I really enjoyed working for.
