What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day for me at the company involves tackling a mix of tasks—checking emails first thing, then diving into project work or meetings with the team to brainstorm ideas and solve problems. I usually spend time collaborating with colleagues, reviewing progress on current initiatives, and wrapping up the day with a quick wrap‑up of accomplishments and next steps.

Start at 7h00 and normally finish at 19h00 at night - check on development of cheese maturation, check on operators and if startup process was done correctly for production run of the day, complete needed paper work and submit, attend cheese tastings, make/produce cheese, attend meetings and training sessions, assure packing start without delays and production is as plan in varriants needed, planing meeting and stock takes. R&D interventions and quality and safety control.

I'm contnuously learning and are in the process of furthering my educational neededs thats currently preventing me from moving to the next level in management.
The company itself has ivest a lot in my current growth and i'm looking forward to my future developments.

I work well with others and most of my co-workers is older than myself but we do understand one another and often share ideas as to identify problem areas which may occurre

People - they are not always reliable and will always stay the unknown/uncontrolled factor as they are very unpredictable, you can plan as much as you want but when you short staff due to illness or family responsibility leave or absent from work at some instances -you are challenged to keep the process flowing without any delays or nonconformances

Cheese making, production side of the process

Come in go thropugh the to-do list and in between daily request of which some needs urgent attention and line manager request HR assistance. 
I have learned that never keep a query for tomorrow if you can resolve today and that FMCG is fast pace therefore sense of urgency is key to be real business patner to line managers.

I have managed other HR professionals to ensure that the company is not exposed to unnecessary risk as the result non adherence to legislation and to company -policies and procedures. I have managed wage negotiation process and conclude susbstative agreement with union.

The hardest part of my job was to manage a 6 week strike and still conclude the agreement on the original manandate.

The most enjouable part was going to work and management depending on you to lead and support them on HR related issues, being recruitment and selection, disciplinary process, resolving conflict or facilitating grievance, restructuring and change management.

A typical day consist of making sure your product is available at all times. You definitely learn a lot about the demand and supply of stores, especially supermarkets. You get a behind the scene look of what systems are in place for ordering and delivering at different stores and also you get to meet with the different levels of management at supermarkets, How to handle "bosses'' and essentially you get to see how the leaders of companies go about making decision daily on how to run their stores. The hardest part, by far, is definitely maintaining a balance between having enough stock and having too much, as having too much stock will cost your employers a lot of money because it is stock that did not make money and you are the reason for the that stock being there. In some cases that is the risk you have to take to hit that sales target and always doing better than the previous time but  also taking responsibility for whatever problems may occur in stores with your service or product.

I travel from store to store talking to managers and field staff regarding issues in trade and coming up with solutions.
I have learned that people have different personalities and this has built my character and inter personality 
Management can be harsh and rough but when things go well they come back and give us a pad on a shoulder or applaud us
Some good and others supportive during stressful times
When you do not have service in store and store manager escalates this further to your bosses or when supplier is out of stock and the store is running promotion and lines have been put on advert also when the field staff did not turn up for work and they did not inform you or the store
When you have achieved targets and get incentives from the business is the most fulfilling part because it shows that your efforts are being rewarded

Duties/Responsibilities (Parmalat SA)
	Strong communication and telephone skills
	Three-way matching and processing of invoices.  
	Reconciling vendor accounts and loading payments.  
	Assistance with cash forecasts, monthly accruals and stock counts.
	Ensure the tax invoices comply with the VAT act. 
	Process Creditors Invoices through the capturing of data on BPCS. 
	Liaise with other departments to ensure that orders and receiver tickets are captured on time to enable timely processing of invoices. 
	Validate and reconcile outstanding purchase orders and un-invoiced receipts between sub system and general ledger for commodities.  
	Prepare EFT payments on the BPCS system on time to receive settlement discount. 
	Complete documentation and arrange for new vendors to be created on the system and maintaining vendor terms. 
	Reporting:  Assist with preparation of monthly cash flow projections. 
	Stock takes: count stock periodically when required, reconcile stock monthly count sheets

when i wake up in the morning i was always happy that iam going to work because i knew there where new things to learn every day,the management was fine at first but as time goes on things started to change as i was getting the star of the month trophy most of the months since i was there,the rates of stars of the month was normally done by management and staff,so i quess some of the management started to be jerlous and mistreat me, there was a point whereby when i wake to go to work i wished i was not going as i didnt know what to do anymore,i was not allowed to learn new things anymore and not allowed to talk to other staff members as i was a mear cleaner who was also stuying part time,i did enjoy the little time i had the things i learned and also different cultures of people.

Each day began with daily cash up of driver monies from deliveries
Updating fleet control records, ensuring stationary requirements sufficient, balancing GKN records plus multiple other small tasks
I learnt how to be considerate of colleages needs, how to meet deadlines, how to resolove problems and how to manage time effectively.
Management were not helpful or approachable 
Coworkers did their best at their respective tasks with very little praise or encouragement
The biggest difficulty was the politics between each staff member as they never had the courage of their convictions
The best was I did my job 100% satisfactorily and felt a sense of accomplishment on being up to specs at all time

Overall a wonderful company to have worked for, i have learned a great deal from them, from starting out as a admin assistant, to taking on extra responsibilities to learn more about the business. This leaded to being promoted, gaining so much more experience in sales, staff management and so much more. Great workplace culture, you work as a team and everyone gets along very well with each other.

The hardest part of the job became traveling and being on the road everyday. The most enjoyable part of the job were my staff and the relationships you build with your customers. I loved the challenges, solving daily problems, reaching your targets and going the extra mile for customers.

I can say Parmalat is a big company with friendly staff since i started working for this company from 2002 in Gauteng i have learned a lot from Warehouse to Distribution i have worked in different department like Cheese,Fresh ( Yoghut) and UHT and by giving me a chance to even work with returns as a BPCS cleck.

I am the person who always put my self on the positive side the hardest time to me it was like learning.i enjoy hard working.

I enjoy every moment when i work with people,i know there is bad days to any human being  but i have learned to work with people, discipline and good manners kept me enjoying my job.
