As the Director of Major Accounts working independently from my remote base in South Africa, my typical day involves engaging with major clients to source innovative tech solutions that align with their fundraising ambitions. I continually refine my technical and communication skills while navigating complex tasks that demand agility and creative thinking. Management maintains a transparent and supportive environment. The workplace culture is vibrant and inclusive, encouraging independent initiative alongside effective cross-functional collaboration. Managing multiple high-stakes projects under tight deadlines is an exciting challenge, and the most rewarding part is witnessing how our innovative contributions drive significant, tangible change.

A typical day at work includes presentations to customers and phone calls, building relationships and assisting non-profits. I have learned about a variety of foundations and non-profits, together with procedures and expected outcomes for fundraising. It took a while to settle in to my position and understand the expectations, though once settled the routine became easier. The smallest of achievements are recognized making it easier to remain motivated. The most enjoyable part of the job is discovering that a non-profit has found funding for a great project. The team want to see everyone successful and so it is exciting to be a part of something bigger than 'just a job'.
