The hardest part of the job, i would say, is trying to find a balance between work and life. When working retail hours, there's no routine due to the change in shifts. It take a bit of adjusting, but you'll find the balance eventually. 

The most enjoyable part of the job is definitely when you have a bit of free time in the store, when you and your team mates have a bit of "playtime". 
Playtime can include anything from a spur of the moment dance party, or a quick 'technique class' where one or more of the team members show you how to create a specific look, or a new trick of the trade.

The workplace culture is also amazing, your team becomes your work family, the support systems are great, they are always eager to help.

A day at work involves me to drive Artists to reach there sales goals, give staff duties to do throughout the say ,motivate staff, paperwork and admin such as payroll, store reports ,jab orders ,out of stocks etc.

I have learned so much from day one that I have started with the brand I have learnt to manage staff in postive and negetive situations , I have learnt to deal with customers with all types of personalities and customer complaints .I also have leant to to general managerial duties such as payroll and dealing with stock and stock levels.

The hardest part of my jobs is the working on week ends and public holidays and different shift each day due is this I have no routine in my life, I am also a mother and my second child is on the way, so I need a stable job that is routine hours and that I can have more time for my family.

The most enjoyable part of my job is that I deal with new people everyday , and I really enjoy management and admin.

A typical day at work would begin with preparing yourself and your work place for the job ahead, selling your product and being a good ambassador for brand by treating your clients with fantastic service and professional make up application. I have learnt the skills to communicate with all types of people, personalities and cultures. My co-workers are my most important asset because they make up the team. it is very important to have a respectful and professional relationship with your co-workers. The hardest part of the job has always been the time spent away from my family but i am so lucky to have a strong support system at home who understands my passion to achieve. The most enjoyable part of the job is making people feels good about themselves and i enjoy hearing their stories, it inspires me.

Working for MAC Cosmetics is a dream come true for me. Since I started working for Estee Lauder companies i familiarized myself with all the brands affiliated with the company. The 'MAC culture' intrigued me and lit a flame that I was unable to ignore. The best part of my day as a MAC makeup artist is serving every customer to the best of my abilities and to show and teach them how to achieve the looks that they want. 

 I am currently seeking for a new challenge in my life that will grow me as an Individual and in my career as well.

 I love working with people and I love new challenges. I pay attention to detail and I will go the extra mile to solve problems.

Our store is busy you need to be able to multi task and be able to handle assisting more than one customer at the same time. We work with sometimes difficult customers in that regard you need to be a strong person in character. I have learned how to handle difficult situation example' customer complaints. Our manager is a hands on kind of person she leads by example. I work with 13 people in a team so there is a lot of personalities and as leader you need to understand all of them. The hardest part is difficult customers. I love seeing people light up after i have done their makeup and mostly always come back.

Working at the make-up counter was challenging but rewarding. I learned a lot about customer service and sales, and how to deal with difficult or demanding customers. I made some great friendships with my coworkers and managers who guided me through the tough days and made the job worthwhile. I also believe I developed my make-up artistry skills and pushed my limit on how to be creative and take chances.

I have learned more about being a makeup artist and how to make a successful business out of my craft than I could have at any institution. It is a company where if you work hard and grab the opportunities before you, success is imminent. The most challenging aspect of working here is maintaining worklife balance as it is a fast paced ever changing industry. The culture of the brand is very inclusive and diversity is encouraged constantly.

A typical day at work would be making sure the store is clean and tidy
being visible to customers,smiling and being helpful and sharing your make up knowledge with both customers and colleuges

Working for MAC Cosmetics was a life time dream and honestly the highlight of my career as a makeup artist. It afforded me many incredible opportunities to work along side some of the most amazing people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. 

The BEST company to work for. Work wasn't 'work' and I miss it a great deal.
