Kone Elevator is a multi national company, we install and maintaon elevators and escators.  we have to busness areas which is the new business and maintenance business, i am the national credit controlelr teamleader.  I manage both business area and have 6 people working directly under me, i manage a book value of 81mil in total.  i manange the the over due receivables on a daily basis and conduct weekly meetings with my team to reduce the 120+days receivables. i also manage the customer disputes and escalator them to the regional directors.  this is a very chanlleging position and enjoy the pressurizing enviroment that i work in.  i report on a weekly basis to the regional directors informing them of the status of they receivables.  Kone aim is the emloyee satisfactiona nd aim to develope the young staff members.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Amazing Multinational Organization, at the forefront of vertical transportation. Compensation etc. top notch, be comfortable and aware of the area in which you operate as well as who your manager is.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
For me it was traveling into Africa.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Environment I chose, company culture, well depends again on where you are situated, 110% KONE lives by their values in ESPOO, I did not work in ESPOO.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Travel, see clients, commercially manage distributors, get up at 01h00AM travel again.

This is a great company to work for with very real advancement opportunities both locally and internationally. They offer continuous on-the-job training and encourage education advancement. Management are incredibly supportive which is important due to the stressful pace of the job. Work place culture is also great and fairly relaxed and friendly. Hardest part of the job is sometimes getting the client to understand the safety culture and the installation process. Best part, international training and opportunities.

Typical day to work is good, for all the 26 years I have worked for company I have learn lot of new things example Payment administration, storekeepers and stock control and lastly account payable administration. I also had learn SAP, Accpacc and VIP payroll software.

The culture is good and hardest part of my job is making sure that all the suppliers banking's are correct and up-to-date on SAP. lastly I enjoy the  independent our bass gives on executing our duties.

A great company to work for. Still one of the few that still offers company vehicle, petrol and cell phone allowances. excellent culture. Bas Degeling, the best MD ever.

NO training, no investment into employees. You are on your own to learn your job and succeed. Management treats employees as a replaceable entity, no one is valued at all. 

Fellow coworkers were great.

Good company culture but management wants to control everything even when it's not in their department. There is no order when it comes to certain decisions. So many people keep resigning because they are unhappy at the company

to lift industry normal is to do the routine job for elevator to meet gorvenmant specifications and also to do faulty findings if elevator stuck also doing miner repairs the hardest part of the job is to do the standby because its does not pay night allowance.

Avoid Kone.

This organisation will only make you feel stressed, unwell and depressed. Poisonous working culture full or rats who do anything to throw you under the bus.
