Gold Circle is one of the biggest gaming and racing companies in South Africa. I am currently on my second year there and I have basically done everything that a person in my position can do. I have worked on many challenging events such as the Vodacom Durban July, to name few. I have learnt many things about the marketing side of the horseracing world and I have met many influential people. Management focuses on many aspects of the job and are very much concerned about the wellbeing and growth of the company and its employees.

Gold circle is very diverse company  with many departments, working there has been very beneficial as I have gained  some form experience and knowledge concerning my field of study.

Working at Gold circle has taught me how to be organised and how to supervise and work well with the  staff member, the hardest part about the job is that you have to be physically fit as there a lot of heavy mechanisms being handled.

The most fun I had working at the company has to be being part of the Durban July and Dundee July Organisation committee.

A typical day included a brief kick off meeting with the guys which included a discussion of the tasks at hand for the day. Everyone then understood what was needed of them and then carried out there duties. The most enjoyable part of my job was seeing the completion of the project, the end result from all the sweat and hours it took to complete. Challenges were mostly people.

Shortage of money 
Because at the end of the day you must pay shortages

Very relax at first hectic by the end of the day

They pay well, managers don't treat staff anyhow they respect their staff and the tips from panters

when panthers swear at your for their loss

everything looks accordingly.

a typical day at work lasted for 8 hours. walking around taking bets was enjoyable. i learned to work individually as well as in a group. it is a best place to learn to work with people. tha management was great. the hardest part of the job was to stand for 8 hours in high heels. the most enjoyable part of the job taking bets for people, and having to meet new people everyday.

A number of colleagues work together to shoot, record and produce a live production broadcasted on Telitrack. The production takes place in two venues Greyville and Scottsville, the main focus is shooting horse races and live studio shows. The production requires a minimum expereinece in video technology and electrical engineering( light current).

Work for 10 hours, or the full horse racing day - you get an hour's break staggered.
I have learned that cash handling and betting are very time critical and important.
Management is extremely friendly and helpful.
Co-workers are also very friendly
there were no hard parts of the job, every bit of it was exciting.

an exciting and educating experience with a vibrant atmosphere and supportive management.Thought me a lot about tolerance.The time factor in this job played an important role ,basically time is money.I enjoyed every part of this job , such as taking bets and paying out bets.

Gold circle is  a good place to be . you just have to be honest and profitable to the cumpany , help customers when they need help because they pay our salary we believe.
