This is an industry that 24/7 is a challenge. The day will start off with a meeting that will last between 10-15 min driving our targets for the day and how we could improove on the previous day,s service levels. Compliment staff that went the extra male. Monitor staff during the course of the day. Keep them up to date with the service levels.I love interacting with clients. In this order it gives you a chance to strengten your relationship with them and identify weak areas within the company. Ive laerned that there is no I in a team and that you achieve the best results by motivating yourself and others. As a supervisor i have learned that to get the best out of my team i have to influence and not control. The hardest part of my job is loosing a officer knowing that you had no control over the situation.It always leaves you with a pain in your heart.I have learned alot in this industry and just the thought of being a phone call away from saving a life in an emergency situation fills me with respect for my job.

Good brand to work for. Working hours are flexible. Diversity makes the job enjoyable. I have learned about technology and how it can be utilised and how it can assist the human factor in performing their duties better.

Due to the diversity of our country, and company, working with other cultures has made for a wonderful experience in learning about tolerance, patience and respect for other cultures, religions and races.

The hardest part of my job is the competitiveness of the 'lesser' service providers in our industry. The lack of enforcement by our regulating authority has caused smaller companies to take advantage of staff and customers alike.

One of the highlights of my job is the gratitude from our customers, especially after assisting them during a serious incident such as a crime.

Another highlight is when I am able to assist a customer in feeling safe in their home, street or suburb; I feel as if I have accomplished something.

I have been here for 10 years this year and I have loved working here. I have been on the social committee for a good part of my time here arranging Year End Functions as well as fun events for the company such as Spring Day Fun, Soup Selling, Braais, Cooking competitions.  I loved my co-workers and learn a lot from all of them and have formed personal relationships with most of them.  The hardest part of the job is dealing with difficult people and the pressure working the management office is high but once all things are done, it was worth the stress and the pressure and I enjoyed that.
I am in a less stressful position now and I miss the hype of the Management Floor.  But for health reasons I decided to take this job.  As well as for a change within the business to be in amongst the people and learn the other side of the business.

I was always well treated and looked after here at ADT.  I have had a good 10 years.

My day at ADT-Security starts at 07:00 in the morning , accompanied by customers phoncalls and quesries.
I have build up a relationship with most of my clients, and I know most of them very well.
I would attend me departments hurdle meeting at 9:00, and set off to work my book
I have a self implimented finging system that I work daily, as I am responsible for distrabuting files daily to varrieas attornies , and updating debtors information with the credit bureaus.
I have a one our lunch break from 12:00 to 13:00, of which I spend unwinding with my colleges and enjoy a nice meal and laugh.
I would resume my position at 13:00, and carry on with my daily task . I have a very good relationship with bouth my supervisor and manager, as we work very closly on a daily basis
My debtors team consist of 7 [seven] work colleguege , we are a very close nitted team, and we work under presuer, but have a way of finding time to to share toughts and ideas.

My day would end at 16:00

A typical day at the control room was,monitoring the activations from 06h00 to 18h00.During the day activations come through 1 by 1 to 20 by 20 every second.I learned how to be patient with clients and how to listen to a client in distress.The people i worked with were normal people trying to make a living.the hardest part of the job was to hearing that a client was shot while the response was seconds away or hearing that a response officer was shot while responding to an activation.The most enjoyable part of the job was speaking to different people and helping in terms of dealing successfully with there different types of queries or problems and also knowing that ive managed to help a person in a difficult position or situation and most importantly hearing them(clients) phone in to thank the person who help them in a time of need.

An Adt reaction officer must be a time keeper and professional

As a junior manager I had to plan ahead my day. Make sure that I will have the staff and equipments needed.
To avoid a shortage of stuff I always made sure that I have a backup list of overtime staff that I can call if needed.
I always made sure that I had spare vehicle to replace the faulty ones.
I visit all my staff members on a daily basis to check if they wear all their Personal Protective Equipments (PPE)
I attend immediately all the clients complaints; ADT vehicle accidents and all incidents.
If I cannot attend an incidents I delegate the duty to a second in rank officer.
I prepare reports to the senior manager
I hand over to the next shift manager

-Stand up ,moving up and down for the whole 12 hours protecting lives,valuables of the clients
-I,ve learned that Perseverance is the mother of success and that you open your own path with your strength and positive attitude you show to other people.Team work reduce the load,working together you can make it.
- My co-workers were like my family ,sharing and laughing together.

-The hardest part of the job was enviroment I worked on which was not good ,patrolling alone as a woman 3 to 4 streets the whole night where it is very dark and there are valubles that attracts the thiefs
-The other challenge was when you have to arrest someone chances of being ijured were high as others are fighting.
-I enjoyed meeting new and defferent people ,learn more of defferent cultures

A very professional and productive place to work in. A good work environment that complies with all labour acts and policies to ensure the highest standards environmental health and safety to all employees. Working at ADT is very rewarding because I know that If I have a problem, socially or otherwise, there is someone to help me. It's an excellent place to build a professional career with many opportunities to employees for career growth. It's a warm place to work in. Knowing that I provide a service to clients who appreciate the extra efforts that I take to ensure the protection of their families and their valuable assets is very rewarding and its gives me great pleasure because I know that being alert and prompt means alot to someone out there who knows that I am always there. Day and night.

Very stressful and confusing because everyday you are told to different things compared to a day before.I've learn in order to be on top you have you to work hard and be able to handle customers in every angle.As for Management you don't get any assistance and at the end of the day/month you have to produce the results.I,m working with a good team people who always strive to make target,team players and very strong Credit controllers.Is to deal with client who has a problem and you as a Credit controller you can't make a final decision only your manager or a manager from the different dep and you don't get any assistants then i get discouraged.Is when i archieve my monthly target and solving a client qeury or helping one of my collegue who were strugling to resolve an account.

When crime goes high, it creates lots of work for me the funy part of it is when the suspect is arrested, then one feel sorry for the way the suspect humble himself.

 Disciplinaries lead to productive business.

my typical day at work was when the suspects missed me with 48 bullet while i was still a supevisor of armed response.

i have learned how to stay calm on all different situations, e.g. screaming client, employee and even by top management.

it is very hard when trying to resolve complaint and the customer insist to cancell the contract and or if the sales department is not getting new contracts
