•Conversant in the Radio O & M environment with respect to equipment functionality and configuration. Offer assistance on request and solve any complex faults that exist in the RBS and BSC family by pin pointing the fault to equipment hardware or software and to meet customer demand reflecting CELL C brand values in all areas of operation. • Supervise technical activities; vision and expertise ensuring staff competencies meet the convergent technological challenges of the future. • To perform support functions on all CELL C transmission equipment used in CELL C Network. • Manage the Implementation of IP and cross connect equipment to the CELL C Network. • To be fully conversant in the various types of RBS and BSC equipment. This includes troubleshooting and faultfinding, link analysis, RF functionality, power equipment etc. • Have a full understanding of the various packages used to monitor and improve the quality and performance of the network • Ensure materials and resources are available for emergency maintenance and planned/upgrade work and that the tasks are performed timeously. • To ensure a routine program is in place to monitor the progress of the BTS routine maintenance. • Site inspections to ensure that the “BTS and Field Maintenance” is performed at a high standard and according to the specification and contract respectively. • Submit reports to designated management, as per requirements. • Ensure objectives set by management are achieved within the measured period. • Be fully aware and write/update Radio O & M procedures and guidelines. • Ensure that all staff are applying procedures in their day-to-day activities, especially regarding all documentation. • Keep Operations Head informed of the progress of any projects being dealt which includes reports. • Improve network availability and quality on a continuous basis. • Communicate all faults, planned work and assigned callout through the correct channels. • Perform all tasks in an accurate and professional manner and maintain a good working relationship within the network operations and all internal and external clients. • Ensure all administrative documentation and databases are correctly completed or updated, accurately and timeously. • Ensure Policies and Procedures are adhered to through ISO 9001, ISO14000 & QMS. Supervisory / Leadership Managerial Tasks: • To project manager allocated BTS areas & contractors ensuring due dates and quality are strictly adhered to. • Supervise staff and training programs. • Devise methods and systems to improved performance of staff and the service provided to our customers. Role Dependencies: • Good inter-personal skills with MTN Staff, contractors and customers and build a good future working relationship and to assist the customer with “coverage & quality” complaints.

- a typical day at work it was when i got an irate customer who wanted his package migrated to another package because the package he was currently on was not a package they offer to him. offer was done over the phone so I have to follow the rules. first thing was to get call recording which sometimes it take time to get a call recording. I advised customer of what was needed to be done to resolve his query. customer was not willing to wait for call recording he wanted his line change immidiately whilst he was on th line. I kept my cool and i explained to the customer that I am willing to resolve his matter i only ask his permission and his patient in oder me to help. he finily agreed but my call was almost an hour because he was not willing wait. However i managed to help him and his query was resolved before my shift end. 
 - what I've learned most is that if customer shout at me i must remain calm and keep my cool because customer is calling because one of my co-workers failed to do her/his job properly of it because customer is having a problem with our network..

-Management nothing much to say about management. i was only taking their orders, do my job and go home.

I enjoyed working with them altough there we those who were not sing same song as us. those were creating angry customers. But most of all we were working as team that have same goal to resolve customers queries and make them happy.

-The hardest part of the job
when you have a customer that wanted to speak with superiors and only to find that there is no one on the floor to take your call. Most of customer dont understand that there is no supervisor on the floor and they will think you are lying. 

-The most enjoyable part of the job.
It is when you resolve customers problem and get a compliment from customer.
eg. Customer will say I've  been calling here for several times and no one was able to assist only you who manage to help me i wish your company can hire more agents like you.

A typical day at work would be doing customer queries, Check the warehouse stock availability in order to prepare for the next order, check if the orders i have placed last week and during the week have arrived and basically receive them into stock, as the 2IC when my suipervisor is not available i have to see to it that all customers leave the Service Centre happy and satisfied with the service received from other Sales Consultant. Check which Handsets are new on the market and make sure i see whether the warehouse has them or not. Ask across other departments administrators what handsets they might need from us that we currently don't have and then place the order. Had such a great team to work with. The hardest Part of the Job comes when i have a traffic of orders waiting to be done while sometimes stock would be short and i have to place orders and Customers are also queuing for assistance, then my boss would insist that i finish the orders but then on the other had her boss does not want to see the queue, so he would come directly to me and insist that i do clients and leave everything im doing, is like i have to divide myself, just the feeling i would get whenever that happened.

The Fun part of my job would basically be everything about customer service and having very nice and friendly customers, what makes up most of my day would be seeing everyone walking out of the service centre happy.

A typical day at work was to be at work on time,make sure register is signed,make sure you log in on time.Dont exceed any breaks inbetween also your lunch aswell.Sit for approximately 8hrs answering all incoming calls from customers needing assistance.You get two 15mins breaks scattered and an hour lunch,you work your scheduled shift if it does become available you do get that 30mins to an hour to have a group meeting just to oversee problems and how to solve issues and so forth.That's about a typcal day at work. I learnt to respect different kinds of people and their cultures,also not to judge bt love and accept people as we all aren't the same.I got to explore myself as an individual,my capabilities and weaknesses.Management did all they could to support and guide, they were strict where neccessary and did their job well and as required.Co-workers were a fun,young and energetic bunch and therefore it was easy for everyone to interact with whom ever.Hardest part of the job was getting blamed and also taking the blame on behalf of the service provider and the network,also the flexible shifts sometimes they did become abit of a problem.Last but not least the enjoyable part of the job was offering assistance and also reaching a solution on a particular problem where a customer would recommend your good service.

My Typical day at work is to get there early as to do my housekeeping and check my diary. When staff comes in we do a daily staff meeting and cleaning. We then check the petty cash and float and then banking gets done. I then check all my emails and give feedback to customer regarding there queries. I also troubleshoot any new ones. I then start on my data capturing and stock controlling. After my filing is completed, I do sales if it is a busy sales day. Once a week, I would submit my sales and once a month all documents gets filed and sent off with all the daily data.

I learnt how to be patient and deal with people on all levels.
I have learnt many skills along the way such as strong admin, organization skills. Customer service and queries has been my favourite to deal with.

I have earned respect from all my co-workers by being loyal, honest a mentor and setting a good example to my peers as well as subordinates.

The hardest part of my job is working with others who does not share the same work ethics and whom are not reliable.

The part I enjoyed most was dealing with customer queries and feeling satisfied once it is resolved and having happy clients.

A Typical day at work starts with the banking and stock checking for the balancing of the previous day. a Quick meeting to discuss the sales expectation for the day. Then the admin must be done since the sale is only finished when the admin is done. On the floor it is mostly about sales, customer relations and queries and watching the staff performance.

I have learned a lot in the industry, my people skills has grown and being able to be my own person. I am part of the management team but i would say that support is very important from the higher above.

Co-Workers should have a Team Work attitude, good Team Work means good sales.

My hardest part of the job is working with furious customers screaming and complaining about the network. All you can do is listen and try to help the client in the best possible way.

The most enjoyable part of my job is when i have a good sale day. Sales means commission and when you finalized that sales it means money in the pocket and a happy customer because he/she has a new play thing.

Mostly there is no No work day as i'm working in the Operation sector ,having to do 24 Hour surveillance on the network performance
provide solution where Capacity and quality improvement is needed.
Must have inter communication skills as you mostly required to liaise with other departments for information required in order to solve internal or external issues especially where customers and vendors are involved.The hardest part of the job is when you require a solution to a problem when is needed from the management position and you are suppose to deliver before end of bussiness day only to find that the systems used are crushing or support is out of reach at that time mails are piling up and phones ringing non stop ,then you'll know that is the worst part of your work when temperature rises and your heart beats closer to death. the most enjoyable part of my job is when customers are happy and network performance reaches acceptable threshold then you'll know bonus is on the way and your hard work is recognized by delivering the utmost best.

It is a challenging yet fun retail environment always meeting new people and making sure their needs are met.
I learnt a lot of knowledge and skills from sales, managing and training staff, building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and customers to managing every aspect of a franchise retail store.
The retail business entails of long working hours usually six days a week, because of this the workplace culture is something that really stuck with me. The staff that worked under me and my work colleagues were like family to me.We were always team and each team member played his/her role to make the business run fluently. 
The most challenging part of the job was making sure that every customer got the excellent service that we promised to them. When complaints arose it was in the best possible manner to solve and make it right for that customer in a short period of time. 
Most of the time it was all fun times selling customers products and services knowing they walking out of that shop with a smile. Also ensuring that targets are met so that incentive and commission bonuses are obtained.

Dealing with all customer queries escalated to head-office either from the Call Center or branch level. Also from walk in clients. Assigning new queries to my staff, overseeing the resort process and assisting where needed.
I learned so much about telecommunications, people's skills, customer care, communication, management and product and systems development.
My co-workers were much fun to work with and I learned a lot about managing different personalities through my interaction with staff of about ten (10) subordinates
The hardest part was not being able to assist a long struggling client (almost immediately) and having to tel them to wait a bit longer after the have been waiting long enough already prior to escalating the query to us (expects) at head-office.
I mostly enjoyed the fact that I could confidently say that any query (AND I MEAN ANY QUERY) escalated to us was as good as resolved. We had access to systems, all sorts of specialized .back-office, technical and administrative departments and staff for support plus we know what we needed to do. We were the best in customer care.
