Cartrack is company that make a person grow, a person works hard under pressure but they always made sure that you as a person can handle the pressure. it really teaches you to work with people, to love and appreciate/ value others opinions. our manager always made us to feel like we are family and we all belong to one mother which was Cartrack, we always made a rule that no matter how hard it is always have that friend who can help you ease the workload and the problems that are encountered at that time. the hardest thing about my job is that u have to handle everything at the same time e.g. client always wants want they want at their time and you have to make sure that you keep all parties happy, some would be on the line while the other one is in in front of you. I always enjoyed seeing a client leaving happy and knowing I made someone smile for that day .

I have learned about who I should trust. What type of company and bosses I want to work for in the future and also learned that I should have resigned sooner than I thought and not waste my talent and skills in a toxic work environment because that took a toll on my character as a person. Mentally and emotionally I had to toughen up. Management does not care about any of their employees. They come and go as quickly as possible once they see how out of whack the people are. Nobody is professional and there is no system in place for anything. You start to work there, you wait for months for your startup kit which includes your laptop to do your work. You have to beg someone to help you in order to finally do what you were hired to do. Once you employed at this place, you on your own. 

Days working at Cartrack are generally pleasant. During my time here I have acquired a substantial amount of patience, I have realized that personalities are different, and have acquired a knack for dealing with all kinds of people.

The culture around the office is one where you get what you give, I am privileged to work in an environment where hard work is recognized, even with just a simple "thank you".

The hardest part of my job  is having to discipline subordinates, however I realize that discipline conditions learning.

The most enjoyable part of my job, is  the interaction with my co-workers, amidst the hard work, there is always time to be pleasant.

Cartrack (Temp Position through Perdm)

I was outsourced to Cartrack through a recruitment agency.
They weren't very clear about the position and upon applying I was told that a small basic salary will be provided and in my line of work which was beauty therapy at the time.

In the interview I was told no basic salary you have to sell the product in the field, approach people to sell the product and you get paid according to your sales.

Once arriving for my first day of work, I got put into the car track team and told that the beauty therapy section has filled up.

I stuck it out and manage to move from field sales to Training.

Cartack has disappointed me greatly withing the last few months. I have been working for Cartrack for a few months now. I have been promised opportunities throughout my time here, to see later that it was an empty promise. There is no options for growth and a Micro Managing Management Style. 

None of the above was mentioned in my interview. I was interviewed 3 times by the same person and company on the same day and was hired for something completely different to what my Contract states. Cartrack is not an ethical company and do not care about their employees.

It was a great company to work for ,there is no day I wouldn't feel like going to work.I have learned that working very hard ,smart and loving your jobs pays.My previous manager was great loving and accomodative.
Our culture was overseas trips incentives,where I enjoyed flying to Maldives island,Seychelles island and Dubai every year.That motivated me to work hard every month because I love traveling.My salary was based on basic and commission.Reason I left its between me and company's confidentiality till job interview.

open the office and get started with checking emails and responding to emails . Answering the phone and dealing with clients that walk in . Working with technicians and sales people , capturing data give of contracts . hardest part is when having to multi task under pressure but of course  I pass that with flying colours. Managing petty cash for two branches, booking flights and making travel arrangements. I enjoy working with clients on personal basis and been able to assist over the phone. Meeting different people everyday

Management does not get any form of training on how to be good managers so they lead based on their own feelings, if they don't like you, your in trouble. The company is more focused on punishing their employees than empowering them. Managers are appointed/ and people promoted based on who they know and some for being snitches. There is no room for growth at all, it is quite a frustrating company to work for. Qualifications do not matter when it comes to positions and salaries. The white ones always have it easy.

Very refreshing and vibrant with a buzz on the floor that stimulates the staff



What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Time checking, register a daily attendance,look at performance stats month to date share with staff, day plan and objective, monitor productivity, motivate and assist with all queries and systems

*transfer customers to the relevant department
* Ensure that we assist in locating our Clients vehicles
* Call Clients when a signal regarding their vehicle is received ( Low battery, Battery Disconnection, high risk areas)
I have learnt that dealing with different people on a daily basis can be a challenge and that it can be very eye opening and challenging at the same time because we all different and deal with predicaments in a way that is also different. It also taught me to work hard and be dedicated given the long working hours.
