CGI as a whole is an overall good company and the Executive Management's intention is to provide a good culture and work environment.  Unfortunately, Toxic bosses are allowed to exist and go unchecked by their immediate supervisor and Human Resources.  It doesn't matter how much effort and time one puts into their work assignments because it goes unappreciated if you're under a micromanaging, toxic boss.  I highly recommend interviewing very carefully if applying for a Contracts or Subcontracts position.  Ask the question pertaining to the dollar value of the chosen Canidate's signature authority.  If zero dollars, then expect to be micromanaged.           

Terrible work/life balance.  It is a Canadian company and you work with people all over the world and are expected to adjust your schedule to their schedules.  Management has no idea how to communicate with employees within the individual BU's.  Health benefits are the worst I have ever had.  Cannot negotiate vacation time even if you have been in the work force for years. Inadequate training and on boarding...you learn it on your own time.  It is hard to move within the company unless you are asked to leave a specific BU. Terrible pay increases and bonuses.  The only good thing about this company is that you can work from home part time which helps a little with the work/life balance.

Well the Job was a great job you always stayed busy cause of the constant changes in equipment and we were there for our customer which was the Army. I learned a lot from other employees about Query's and numbers and other things that helped us keep up with the equipment and components inside the military vehicles. The hardest part of the day was the Heat cause our Job consist of a lot of time outside. I seen many people pass out. The Management was good they worked with you as best they could but the only thing that I didn't like was favoritism towards some people that were buddy buddy we all came to do a job weather male or female. The workplace was a good place. After work sometimes the employees got together talked and went out to eat or played cards

Planned, coordinated and expedited the flow of material from contractor/Government warehouses to Government sites ensuring delivery schedules were implemented on time. Responsible for overall planning, coordination and management of two individual warehouses, of over 80,000 square feet, with inventories values of $40 million.  Designed, implemented and supervised on-the-job training of warehouse personnel performing both clerical and physical tasks in connection with receiving, storing, moving, delivery, picking up and inventorying of materials.

CGI is a member-focused company that has great financial programs for its members, and truly includes its members in the strategic planning process. It is a consulting company, so many projects work more than a typical 40 hour work week, but the consulting setup allows members to often experience many different roles, while benefiting from the stability and network of working for a single company.  Experience with the company is largely dependent on the individual project(s) to which you are assigned and the management of those projects.

TO BE PRODUCTIVE AD WORK THERE MUST ALWAYS BE FREEDOM TO WORK HARD AND ACCORDING TO THE BOSS'S REQUIREMENTS. NO NEED TO STAND BEHIND YOU WHEN YOU WORK BUT TO REALISE THE HIS WORKERS CAN DO THEIR JOB AT ALL TIMES. ALWAYS HAVE RESPECT FOR EACH OTHER. THE HARDEST PART IS MONTH END AND WHEN A CLIENT HAS MADE AN ACCIDENT. THEN WE HAVE TO MAKE THINGS EASIER FOR THE CLIENT TO CLAIM. THE ENJOYABLE PART IS WHEN THE BOSS TAKES US  OUT FOR LUNCH.

I would work like a machine was very boring and wasn't a lot of room for a new learning experience. management did their job to the best of their ability. One of the hardest things to do was working a 60 hour a week night shift. besides that the company had a good culture and a productive environment

CGI is known in the industry for having capacity to support. They are not innovative as an employer and lack career development opportunities.

HQ is in Montreal and I think Execitive Leaders need to come out in the world and experience  the local sites without notice to see what really is going on daily

I could get away with doing nothing for a week and no one would bat an eye.  There tech stack is so far behind the curve, the skills you learn here will not transfer over.  I would steer away if you’re a developer that does not want to stagnate.  You will feel miserable. The pay is also way below industry standards, and the pay raises/bonuses are disrespectful.
