Everyday began with safety talk, this was to ensure that everyone returns home the same way they arrived. I learnt that as much as productivity is of importance but safety is the first priority and this was enforced at all times.

The management trusted each and every associate that they will execute there duties with minimum supervision. This was really motivating to know that you are entrusted with what you do.

Teamwork was one of the things that were emphasized,this was indicated by the number of team building training that were arranged. 

The hardest part of my job was managing people, to ensure that they produce minimum effluent. The higher the effluent produced the more difficult it is to handle it.

I enjoyed being part of process safety, this gave me a clear understanding of safety and it importancy.

Buckman goes an extra mile to make everyone feel at home and welcome, as big as the company is, everyone knows each others names, the senior members will know the name of an in-service trainee and will engage with them in a conversation whilst nurturing . a busy day at work is when there are lots of samples coming in for the analysis to be done on them. days are not the same, to deal with a busy day before hand, i learnt to make preparations should samples come in and also to plan your day in the morning. to avoid making mistakes and also as not to take on more than you can do for the day. hardest thing about the job is when results don't meet the client's expectations and you have to run a series of other tests only to find that they had been storing their products at wrong temperatures at their plant

What is the best part of working at the company?
Stuff training was awesome. The company have a solid strategy which is communicated well. They care about their young associates and their development.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Snr management letting of what was happening on the shopfloor to go too far without their intervention. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Culture was great. Sales environment was okey. It was teaching a lot

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I was a sales rep. Ensuring that everything was okay on customer site, from stock, equipment to process behavior to customer satisfaction and customer intimacy.

It's been a great experience, no business runs smoothly and it's great to work with teams who are able to sort a contingency plan when required. Buckman Laboratories embraces diversity and that is interesting to learn about other cultures.

Flat structure with little micro management. Ability to work autonomously once you've reached a certain level. Constantly looking to improve customer service and quality of products.

...Management is the most dedicated part of the company . Protocols and and safety was always a priority though Staff need to be more closely supervised  or most things would fall through the cracks
