I joined this Company in 2009 and since then it has been growing from strength to strength.
Sales have grown to above 50 % on monthly basis since I joined. 
I love the people, I love the flexibility we have and the passion all employees have in the Brand. 
I have lived the Avon Justine values and have learnt so much on how to be the best planner in any future Industry I will cross paths with. 

I loved the ownership in driving the results of the brand and how much control I had in changing the picture going forward from negative to positive. 

I love presentations I have to deliver to executives and the sales team and taking them through the exciting plans we have planned for future moths to come. 

The hardest part of my job getting everyone happy. It is impossible to make sound business decisions and cutting on non profitable brands and invenstments as some brand managers sometimes feel I do not give the opportunity to grow their brands.

A typical day at work

check emails and answer any questions that may have arisen.
check info sheets on emails that reflect help orders or pending orders that need to  be released.
check for new registrations so that new recruits can be notified.

Then go online to Avon website and check on alloverdue accounts and get hold of anyone that may need reminding of account payments or orders needing release and not being submitted

then it out to recruiting for about three hours and then back to the computer to see progress of the team and get hold of anyone with problems

What i Learn on a daily basis
is how to deal with people in different settings 
Management are always availble and very helpful
Workplace culture is versified as it is independant sales and recruiting with in a larger organisation
The hardest part of the job is recruiting new people and following up on slow payers
The best part of the job is meeting new people and the freedom to work and grow as a person

Making sure that all booklets are given to customers and all persons working under me understand their duties. If any financial problems or problems with the orders should arise I need to make sure it is taken care of as soon as possible. The manager above me and the people working under me are all very respectful of each other. We are friendly to each other and treat each other equally. I love the line of work I am in as well as working on my own time. My job is more a hobby than work. The hardest part is making enough sales to reach my target when it is a quiet month and not all of the people working under me is reaching their targets.
I learnt to find clients and managing sales. Placing orders, sending e-mails, keeping track of all orders and clients as well as their information. Also contacting various clients regarding their orders. I have been promoted to manager within 6 months of working for the company.

Avon lacks innovation, your mind is put in a box which I found challenging as an Analyst. In my view I know they lacked a lot of processes which is a contributing factor to the high staff turnover because people were not sure what to do at times. Processes are not a priority. In my stay at Avon I was an Engagement Champion which was to find out about employee's wellbeing of which it was not great at all, they complained about the massive workload which I think could have been sorted by putting processes in place, most people were not happy about their managers including myself. There is also a lack of knowledge from the line manager of the job at hand. They don't live their values which is very disappointing!!! I tested the hypothesis and it failed - values mean nothing.

My job was interesting and challenging because I was suppose to recruit different people and make them work towards one goal. Sometimes we had to push hard if we don't have customers work overtime making sure that we bring strategies that will work for us to get going. Some of them where not educated but where having skills and experience so my task was to teach them. Our management was powerful and strong because if we had our differences we were trying to sort them so we could continue with our work. the most enjoyable part was when we reach above our targets (e,g selling R60 000 instead of R40 000) its an overwhelming feeling . I have learn to work with people, co operate, team work, punctuality,planning and stragetisng , time management and to be organized.

Because I worked from home, My day would differ on daily basis due to working or meeting with new different clients everyday. Some make the job easy whilst others at least try to make the job easy .Even though I worked on my own, I learned the importance of team work, working together with my clients made the job fun and more appealing. I also learnt the importance of time management as it can make the business grow if managed properly .
The hardest part of the job is to convince clients who are not precisely easy to spend yet want the product. It becomes difficult to make a person spend whereas they always want discounts .
Meeting different people everyday who are interesting and driven with the same dream and ambition you have .

With Avon every day is a working day, no matter where i'm at or the time of day i'm always promoting the brand.My sales skills and a way of handling the businesses finance have seriously improved,i can manage my time more effectively i've also learned a more pratical as well as an effective colletion procedure. We have a very good support structure from our sales leaders as well as the company itself.ill'd have to say the hardest part for me will have to be collecting the parcels from the post, cause the post is quiet far from where i staying and there is no public tranport in between too. I enjoy selling the products the most, interecting with my clients and bulding a client based relationship with them.

The company itself is good to work for.  Benefits are great

The job I would not class as sales its more recruitment.
I found there was not enough time in the day to perform all your duties.
I did not have a supportive manager who consistently put you down, focused too much on the negatives and no praise for the positive.

You are expendable in this job, if you do not hit targets you are fired.  
10 Managers left over a year due to the attitude of the Divisional Manager.
The job may have been more bearable if the Divisional Manager had any people skills!

I would not recommend working for Avon as its demoralising, affects your home life, it is not a 9-5 job and is extremely demanding.  Nothing you do is good enough.

i love Avon products. I loved selling them. I loved meeting new people and being their Avon Lady. You do have to work at it though. Pass out books to people in the mall, leave them at medical offices, put yourself out there.

The hardest part of the job is getting the representatives to be involved and working with you so that you can help them be successful. They are independent so they earn their own paycheck not paid by the company. Keeping new representatives engaged so they can see the benefit of owning their own business. 

The most enjoyable part was watching those that succeeded and knowing that I was able to teach them something to help with that success.

Working with Avon is challenging and yet educational in the business field ,it challenges the entrepreneur in you.

It gives an individual entrepreneurial skills and you mature and grow in the field.

It enlarges your knowledge about the world of beauty and science.

It teaches you to be responsible and disciplined in money and business.

You learn how to  manage and run an online business.

It broadens your mind about beauty, entrepreneurship, online business and boots ones confidence.
