A typical day at work involved managing contact centre operations, supporting employees, monitoring performance, resolving customer escalations, and ensuring service levels were achieved. I learned valuable leadership, customer service, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. Management was generally supportive and focused on achieving operational objectives. The workplace culture encouraged teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. The most challenging part of the job was managing high workloads and customer escalations while maintaining service standards. The most enjoyable part was developing employees, achieving team goals, and making a positive impact on both customers and staff.


When I am at work I work with the CEO of the company , and now I multitask and do my Tenders later , when I have done external things.

I have learned to respect time and become more accurate in taking notes  and giving SLA reports to managers.

Discipline and Change , have become my greatest achievements , since 2017 to 2018 , reporting to the main Boss.

My managers are very happy with the PA and QA that I am helping them with their day to day work , speaking Of IT, Tenders ,Helpdesk support and maintenance of Life Enrollment Units (LEU).

Our culture is to give solutions to problems , and now multitasking on different projects and Tasks has made me to be very matured on my work and well-being.

My hardest part of my Job is that I am always tired due , to travelling and working with Three ( 3 ) Departments at once.

I enjoy my work when it comes to reviews at the company , I see progress , as where I am from to where I am today , As I started working in the contact center in 2015-2016, and grown in the company to be a Bid Coordinator and Managing "Alteram Helpdesk support".

The best part of working at the company is the experience you gain from having to figure things out with little support. You’re constantly learning, mostly because processes are unclear, communication is poor, and you're often left to sort out issues on your own.

The most stressful part about working at the company is the lack of clear communication and last-minute requests. Tasks are often assigned with little context or unrealistic deadlines, making it difficult to plan and prioritize effectively

basically i sit at home at wait till helpdesk in JHB calls because they cant resolve the call remotely or telephonically,The worst is when i get a callout at 12 the afternoon to drive 200km or more by then my body has gone in tired mode.

I learnt that always be honest and respect your work place.

Management are quite fair regarding decisions but sometimes lack in communication,

The hardest part of the job is trying to resolve a problem and the client is standing behind you and at the time the problem just persist,looking as if you dont know what you doing,

The most enjoyable part is to get to drive across the whole Western Cape to places ive never thought id be or seen, and its quite nice to stop along side the road to do site seeing,

I work on the same floor with the Call Center frontline, so it's all noisy and hectic when because everyone is determined to push their SLA. It's a productive day if I close or resolve more client's queries that are in relation to the Water services e.g Burst pipes, leaking meter, Stormwater pipes, leaking sewage or water outages. Management is okay though they also have their own hurdles in terms of helping us with queries that are of big magnitude. Getting assistance from most local municipalities that are based in the rural areas, systems or servers that are offline. We always have fun as consultants because it's a crazy and fun environment to work and grow in.

no work on weekends ither than that i have nothing positive to say about the company. work on contract,  no increase, no benifits only UIF

KNOWING VERY WELL THAT YOUR HARD WORK IS NEVER APPRECIATED.

Company is draining. If you want to gain experience go for Alteram Solutions, but if you care for your mental health, do not consider applying for any post at Alteram.

Working environment is not healthy.  Pressure is too much but salary is less.

Every day was a new day as I encountered a lot of challenges which made my days so productive and eye-opening. I grew in the company which makes me a better person now. I regard it as the best company that I worked in since I started working, opportunities are there for hardworking people. And what excites most is the diversity of the company which caters for all races and genders and treat everyone with utmost respect.
