adidas is a great brand to work for underpinned by a sporting culture. There has been a significant change to the brand direction and although it is an exciting opportunity for new challenges; there is also a level of uncertainty and a lack of clear direction. I am passionate about the brand and all that it represents and thoroughly enjoy my work environment and the team. The hardest part of the job is keeping focus with so many requirements which often leads to an imbalance in work/family/lifestyle. The best part of the job is that no 2 days are the same and even after 8 years with the company; I am still learning something new every single day!

It’s a part time job whereby I am placed at selected stores to give technical advice about Adidas products to the customers and increase sales. During my time I learnt the different types of shoes suitable for different types of people. Management at the stores is very welcoming and the Adidas Manager whom we report to is easy to work with and always willing to help. And she promotes a positive working culture amongst the other brand coaches. The hardest of the job is making sales to a customer who has been using a specific brand and having to convince them that they should try Adidas. Most enjoyable part of the job apart from the free Adidas apperal is interacting with customers and hearing their views about certain events

What is the best part of working at the company?
You end up meeting important people an it can also teach you how to handle different  kinds of personality's  an even how people look at you  it becomes  different  they view you as a special person

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
You always  working Monday to Sunday  so you don't have a me time

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment  is okay an also you can do your job without even having a stress

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
When thers like a sale an many people  want this sale an there is a lot so our work is increased  because  you tag an price as many shoes as you can an when done you gonna have to take them to the floor for placement

I have worked for Adidas for many year,with different managers since they constantly changed managers.i got along well with most of the managers.the hardest part was when i made a mistake at the till point.it was the 1st time in my 11years in the company.I was dismissed for a shortage of R200.I have never made such a mistake before.the cctv showed that i did not steal the money.i have never received a verbal or written warning in the company.but it all ended like that.I was dismissed with no remorse.the most enjoyable part of the job was that it was my home.my collegues and i treated each other like family.i learned a lot from Adidas

The workspace and how you much you enjoy it is based on your colleagues. If you don't get along with them you are doomed. Teamwork is essential. If you want to progress in the company be open about it. The work is never ending because you need to have the store at high retail standards at all cost. The work can be a bit of an overload at times. Again teamwork.. also managers constantly change. If avoid be a 'teachers pet'. Every manager has their own expectations and goals, so learn to adapt. And oh salaries are always an issue.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Nothing the management team is pathetic and inconsiderate , never cared about employees always themselves and money , treated customers with disrespectful, so much affairs going around especially access park Kenilworth 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Working with unstable management , that couldn’t run the store properly

Very unpleasant  , anyone who wants to walk for the company A BIG NO

The work environment is safe and small which allows us to cover more ground and help as many costumers and possible 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Just normal, going to sleep knowing that you helped others and providing for your family in the process

work consisted of making sales, approaching customers and encouraging them to purchase. Product knowledge and demonstration on customers were part of the work role. Cashing goods; stock check and ongoing training with new product development and technological changes were other responsibilities. 

managment and co workers maintained a good rapport and supported each other favourably. 

Retail hours were the most difficult considering the peak season.

But the most enjoyable was meeting sales targets

A typical day is when you go above your target, and being able to assist and be helpful to a client. 

I have learned that to do my work properly I need to be happy with what I do and learn more about the product I 'm selling.

Management: If one is responsible and disciplined management give one a space to show off their abilities and grow in their careers.

The hardest part of the job is when we fail to reach our target

Team work and reaching the target because sales is all about reaching target.
