We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer/Technologist/Technician to join our client's team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and overseeing residential, commercial, and retail construction projects in the area. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of structural engineering principles and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities::
- Design and supervise the development of residential, commercial, and retail construction projects
- Evaluate project locations, materials, and building designs to ensure structural strength and compliance with building codes
- Create detailed construction drawings and specifications
- Conduct on-site inspections to oversee construction progress and maintain quality control
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other team members to ensure successful project completion
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in structural engineering
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or relevant field
- 10 years' work experience as a Structural Engineer/Technologist/Technician
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and other industry-standard software
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations in the area
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Outstanding problem-solving and analytical capabilities
