About Pulse
Pulse is the operating system for modern security and facilities management. Built by Aether Agency, Pulse replaces the clipboards, WhatsApp groups, and email chains that the security/FM industry still runs on with one connected platform: a mobile app for officers, live dashboards for control rooms, a portal for clients, and a comprehensive admin suite for managers. We're already live across multiple UK sites and growing fast.
We're looking for our first dedicated Sales Manager to own new business growth and turn Pulse into the default platform for UK security contractors, FM companies, and in-house security teams.
The Role
You'll own the full sales cycle — from cold outreach to signed contract. You'll work directly with the founder, shape our go-to-market motion, and have a clear say in product priorities based on what you hear from prospects.
This is a hands-on role for a hunter who likes building, not a desk role waiting for inbound leads.
What you'll be doing
- Prospect & qualify. Build pipeline through targeted outbound (LinkedIn, calls, events, partner referrals). Identify the decision-makers in security firms (50–500 officers), FM companies, and large property portfolios.
- Run discovery calls and demos. Show Pulse end-to-end — mobile patrols, live dashboards, the client portal, the permit-to-work flow, the FM hub. Tailor the pitch to what each prospect actually needs.
- Close deals. Send proposals, negotiate pricing, manage trials, secure signed contracts. 12-month minimum term.
- Own the CRM. Keep our pipeline accurate — stages, next steps, forecasted close dates. We'll set you up with
- Feed the product. Every "we'd buy if it did X" goes back to the team. You'll have weekly time with the founder to shape the roadmap.
What success looks like (KPIs)
- Pipeline: £[X] in qualified opportunities at any time.
- Activity: 40+ outbound touches/week, 5+ demos/week.
- Conversion: demo → trial 40%+, trial → close 30%+.
- Net revenue retention on accounts you close: 110%+ at month 12.
You are
- 3–5+ years selling B2B SaaS — bonus if you've sold into security, facilities, property, or compliance markets.
- A genuine hunter. You enjoy building pipeline from scratch and don't wait for marketing to feed you leads.
- Sharp on discovery and demo — you ask better questions than the buyer expected and tailor every demo.
- Comfortable with technical products and able to explain workflows clearly (mobile + web + integrations).
- Disciplined with CRM hygiene and weekly forecasts — your numbers tell the truth.
- Confident negotiating commercial terms with operations directors, FDs, and ops managers.
- Right to work in the UK.
Nice to have
- Existing network in UK security firms, FM contractors, or commercial property management.
- Experience selling into multi-site operations or recurring-revenue B2B contracts.
- SIA-licensed or familiar with SIA-ACS / NSI Gold standards (we can teach you the rest).
- Experience taking a product to market early — first sales hire at a previous startup.
Pay: R29 000,00 - R43 000,00 per month
